booksKisii University has received over 22,000 University level books from Books for Africa, USA. Books for Africa, is a charity organization based in the USA that works towards ending the book famine in Africa through the supply of high quality books to Educational institutions. The Research and Extension department together with Books for Africa have been planning for the delivery of the high-quality books to Kisii University for the past six months. It was a delight to see the journey finally come to fruition by the arrival of the 40 feet container with 570 boxes full of university books at the Ultra modern library grounds at Kisii University.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. John Akama, in his speech at the Ultra-modern library grounds during the opening of the container revealed that Books for Africa have greatly contributed to the enhancement of the University library over the past three years.
