UK based Organization Donates Computers to Kisii University
Kisii University has received a donation of assorted ICT equipment from Computer Aid International, an ICT development charity registered in the UK aiming at reducing poverty through practical ICT solutions. In this donation, the University received 400 high quality desktop computers, 50 printers, 50 projectors, 10 scanners and 10 smart interactive boards (84 inch). Kisii University’s Vice Chancellor-Professor John Akama flanked by the DVC (Academic and Student Affairs)-Professor Wanyama, and other members of staff received the ICT equipment from KAWAISON International, the clearing agent that delivered the equipment to Kisii University.

The Vice Chancellor-Professor John Akama appreciated the donation from Computer Aid International and revealed that the donation will support the University to increase the computer student’s ratio to desirable levels. He further revealed that the ICT equipment particularly the smart interactive boards will enhance the University’s mission of modernizing the teaching process at the University. In this mission, teaching staff will be trained on the use of the ICT equipment in delivering both face to face and online learning sessions.
